Hugo Chavez: USA Is Spreading Cancer to South American Leaders

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez is known for his extraordinary views. Some of them have been rather tame. He has, for instance, banned singing in the shower to prevent anyone using too much water.
More recently, however, he has aired more bizarre views that border on conspiracy theories. As several South American leaders, including Chavez himself, have been diagnosed with cancer, he has suggested that the United States has developed a secret biological weapon and is using it on Latin American heads of state.

However, medical experts have emphasised that cancer us not a contagious disease and that there is no way the U.S. could infect Chavez and others with cancer. Moreover, contrary to earlier reports, Cristina Kirchner does not have cancer.
Not being put off easily, President Chavez nevertheless advices Evo Morales of Bolivia, a leftist leader who has not yet contracted cancer, to be on his guard, lest the Americans try their dirty tricks on him and infect him too.
Chavez is Chavez and politics is often dirty but at least the media are probably pleased with his antics. With Muammar Gaddafi gone and Zimbabwe’s Robert Mugabe getting a bit too old for tall tales, it is not often the press gets to write about something that is very much out of the ordinary.

Top-level comments on this article: (3 total)You know? He might be on to something there. Are the politicians enjoying the convenient foods manufactured in the US? His accusation of Bio Terrorism may not be far off from the truth. The sad part is that it is happening to people right here in the US. Hundreds of thousands of People (if not more) are becoming ill from the poisonous chemicals put in the foods. Preservatives, Artificial Sweeteners and other artificial ingredients and hey let me just touch on the fact that one company is even using the cell lines from human aborted fetus' in an attempt to "Enhance the flavor of food and reduce the amount of sugars and other sweeteners".
Then again, if they are not consuming foods, which are contributory to cancer cells growing inside the body, then a look at the shared environment and lifestyle of these politicians must be put under a microscope.
Questions must be answered like:
"Do all of their clothing washes include some sort of fabric softener or dryer sheets?"
"What are the common chemicals that they are exposed to?" - (Pest Control, Cleaners, etc)
" Do all of them take the same kinds of medications?"
And many other lifestyle similarities can be looked at.
It is a fact that the world is growing into one big chemical waste land. From my research on cancer (after being a cancer survivor) my discoveries teach me that cancer is not hereditary, as in passed down through your genes, but more a shared lifestyle. Exposure to, and consumption of, the things which contribute to cancer cells growing in your body is the key.
So, I guess if these politicians choose an unhealthy lifestyle and cancer grows in their bodies then they have no one, but themselves to blame, for not doing their homework to ensure the things consumed or allowing themselves to be exposed to are not going to harm them. I know I have me to blame for my cancer. I was not aware until after the fact. I am one of the fortunate survivors and I beat it. I did my homework after. I have been cancer free ever since.
Thanks for reading. Chavez is known to "know" things that others don't. While I'll agree with you that cancer is disease that has many causes, I'd be reluctant to point my finger at the CIA, especially since Chavez has cried wolf so many times before his latest announcement.
Hugo Chavez ....so glad he doesn't have a nuclear weapon. His mind is full of strange things, none of which are normal. I feel sorry for the people who must live under his deranged dementia.Yes, I'd say that it's better to live in a place where he doesn't rule.
Chavez is a piece of work. His real self has been showing for a while now--maybe some of his devotes in America will see the real guy and realize he's not worthy of following.He is an interesting character to watch - at a safe distance.
