Was the German Fhrer who dreamed of producing an Aryan "super race" of blue-eyed and blond-haired Germanic people actually at least partly a descendant of a race that the Nazis despised and wanted to exterminate? This might well be the case if the news about Adolf Hitler's assumed Jewish roots are true.
This was not the first time that someone came up with the idea that Hitler was not a real Aryan. Historians had previously suggested that his father Alois was the illegitimate son of a Jew, making him 25 per cent Jewish.
Adolf Hitler would not have been very fond of the results that suggest that far from being an Aryan superman, he was genetically actually closer to Jews and North African Berbers.
This might not be a big deal for us but for the Nazis who seemed to be obsessed with their view of Aryan supremacy, it would have been a real disaster.
Ironically, the very idea of different human races is scientifically as outdated as the view suggested by the anti-Christian philosopher Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche (1844-1900) that humans could eventually build a race of supermen. The Fhrer obviously believed in this idea but in attempting to realise it he had to resort to very drastic measures that history will never forget.
