D oes your Teddy Bear need a vacation? If so, why not send him (or her?) to Lapland to see Santa Claus. Teddy will be able to feed Santa's reindeers, get a certificate as proof of crossing the Arctic Circle and then have his picture taken at Santa's Workshop with Santa, of course, who will give him a gift. Teddy will also send you a postcard from Santa's Workshop.
Teddy will have his picture taken several times during the trip. The pictures and a DVD documenting Teddy's Arctic adventures will accompany him all the way to his home address, wherever that might be.
Teddy Tours Lapland is a company specializing in these trips that only bears can take. The brainchild of Finnish businesswoman Marja Ylinampa, the idea gained popularity after Reuters reported on Teddy Tours.
All teddy bears wishing to take the trip to Lapland and Santa's Workshop will be insured, but if you still have doubts about sending your beloved furry bear alone to Finland, you might consider the option of buying a teddy bear from Teddy Tours. The price, including postage, pictures, postcard, Santa's gift, DVD and insurance, is only 170 euros or approximately 220 US dollars. The "normal" tours have a price tag of 90 euros (ca. 117 dollars).

Top-level comments on this article: (2 total)Great article. Well done. This is the stupidest idea I've heard in a long time but I bet it makes loads of money. Could you imagine the looks the people running the tours must get? Thanks. Yes, it seems there's no limit to what some business people will do to get our money. However, some terminally ill children want to send their teddy bear on a trip like this, so I tried not to shoot the idea down.Oh I'm sure it is fine from the kids perspective. Fair point about the terminally ill children. Thanks, I should have mentioned it in the article.
Now why didn't I think of this and retire? Hum, I am retired....Thanks. Good question.
