Reverend David Wilkerson recently posted a message warning of an imminent calamity that would be felt in major US cities and elsewhere. The NYC Times Square Church pastor did not give details of what might cause this to happen but urged his readers to be prepared for potential food shortages.
David Wilkerson is not an ordinary doom and gloom prophet. He has repeatedly pointed out that he is not a prophet but a pastor. However, for many years he has been predicting a major economic downturn. In 1973 Rev. Wilkerson wrote The Vision in which he predicted a number of things that many readers found hard to believe such as the opening of the Iron Curtain, the rise of homosexual activism, and the queer climate conditions many now associate with global warming. He has not always been accurate with all of his details but as a whole, his predictions have been fulfilled to a degree many would regard as amazing.
Recently, Rev. Wilkerson started writing a blog of daily devotions. Last week, he felt that the Holy Spirit urged him to warn of an impending disaster. " I do not know when these things will come to pass, but I know it is not far off", he writes. You can read his blog post at:

Still skeptical? It might be good to remember that a few weeks before 9/11 Rev. Wilkerson also issued a warning.
